AI agents are first-class citizens of Centra.

Your AI agents can work alongside your human team, operating in an AI-adapted version of the same back-office system your staff uses every day.

Centra is developed with an agent-first mindset.

Enabling Centra access for AI agents​

AI agents connect to Centra using Centra MCP. Centra MCP uses the open Model Context Protocol to give AI agents access to AI-adapted versions of the tools human operators access through the AMS (Administration and Management System — the Centra admin panel).

If your AI agent is a coding agent, such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or Gemini CLI, developing applications, integrations or storefronts for Centra, they can also use Centra MCP to connect to Centra.

What AI agents can do in Centra​

AI agents have access to around 300 tools that give them access to virtually all aspects of Centra:

  • PIM — products, variants, sizes, brands, collections, categories, displays, attributes, sizing, media, translations
  • Pricing — pricelists, price alterations, lowest prices (Omnibus compliance)
  • IMS — warehouses, stock management, suppliers, purchase orders
  • OMS — orders, shipments, returns, invoices, credits, allocation
  • Customers — DTC customers, wishlists, newsletter subscriptions
  • Accounts — B2B accounts, buyers, address books, payment terms
  • Promotions — campaigns, vouchers, subvouchers, affiliates, gift certificates
  • Shipping — shipping options, delivery windows, delivery window groups, shipping terms
  • Subscriptions — plans, active subscriptions, contracts
  • Store Management — stores, markets, countries, currencies, languages
  • Tax — tax rules, groups, classes
  • Analytics — revenue trends, year-over-year comparisons, market/store/country splits, top products, returns, discounts

  • "Audit this collection for anything missing before we launch it — what actually blocks the launch versus what's just below our standard?"

  • "Which styles are selling through fastest for wholesale account X, and which are dead stock?"

Multi-environment support​

Centra MCP supports multiple Centra environments. Agents can work with multiple QA and production environments.

Secure by design​

Giving AI agents access to a commerce backend can be useful, but also a serious security matter.

Centra MCP does not only rely on the security layer of the harness, on top of this Centra's fine grained Integration API access controls limit exactly what an agent can see or do.
